I SERIOUSLY doubt that you are wrong about Bakken. When I lived out there in the mid 1960s, the North Dakota fields were consider low-output. Then that production mostly failed but was revived recently through some interesting secondary recovery techniques. So now they are frakking like crazy but still the average well produces less than 100 barrels / day. Keep in mind we use something like 20,000,000 bbls / days in USA. Bakken will not make even the smallest dent in that total.
