Eurocopter, now rebranded Airbus Helicopters, opened its first plant in the United States 10 years ago. The European company moved to the U.S. to gain access to Government contracts. It's now the largest helicopter provider to the Department of Homeland Security and makes more than 50 percent of all commercial helicopters in the U.S. In the first in a "Made in America" series, Bloomberg gets an inside look at how one of the world's most popular helicopters are made and why they chose Mississippi.The state of Mississippi doesn't have enough tax credits available to get me to locate a business there. Then again, if you want some government contracts, getting Haley Barbour, Trent Lott and Thad Cochran on your side probably helps out.
