For every person killed by nuclear power generation, 4,000 die due to coal, adjusted for the same amount of power produced...Radiation is still a scary unknown, but mainly if you live near the reactor. I wouldn't want the farm poisoned for generations from radiation (although you might be able to grow giant crops). Luckily, accidents like this are extremely rare.
