Looking over the bracket, I see a few interesting matchups. First, Louisville vs. Morehead State. Louisville is playing well, but Morehead State is getting a prime matchup against one of the two big guys in their home state. They'd love to make it a game. Second, Xavier vs. Marquette. The best of the A-10 up against the rest of the Big East. As far as I see, Marquette was the last of the 11 Big East teams to make the tournament. Finally, St. John's vs. Gonzaga. This year only one WCC team makes the tournament (unlike 3 a couple of years ago), and draws one of the better teams in the Big East. Also, 8 Catholic schools made the tournament, and four of them are playing in the last two games highlighted. It will be interesting to see how the big conferences fare with 30 of the 37 at-large bids. The top-seeded teams look tough this year, but somebody's going to be upset.
On a second note, if filling out the NCAA bracket doesn't provide enough of a challenge, fill out an NIT bracket and see how you do.
